Thank you for visiting our website

We have recently submitted an outline planning application for the Hayeswood Development to Braintree District Council. The council has validated our planning application (reference number 26/01539/OUT) and you can view the application documents on Braintree District Council’s online planning portal here.

We held our consultation for the project (then known as Great Notley East), now known as Hayeswood, which completed in November 2021. We presented our proposals to provide new homes, along with employment opportunities, a primary school, community facilities and open spaces.

Following responses from the consultation and the adoption of the local plan which reduced the housing allocation for the site, we have made revisions to our proposals. These, include –

  • The development name has been changed from Great Notley East to Hayeswood.
  • The previously proposed vehicle access point on Bakers Lane will now be bus only.
  • The two primary access points will be from the A120 off slip road and Notley Road.

The application for Hayeswood presents a unique opportunity to create a thriving new complementary neighbourhood east of Great Notley. The proposals are for a high-quality development, of up to 1,650 homes, that will enhance where new and existing residents live, work and play.

The Hayeswood Consortium includes Bloor Homes, Bellway Homes, Martin Grant Land and Miller homes. If the application is successful, construction work on site is expected to start in the second half of 2028, with the first new homes available in 2029.
